When it comes to relays, many people might be unfamiliar with them—they are electronic components hidden deep within equipment, unseen and unfelt. Yet, it is precisely this unassuming "minor player" that has permeated various sectors, from transportation and communications to energy, thanks to its precise current control capabilities, becoming an indispensable "invisible switch" in modern life. Products such as vacuum relays and DC contactors have long stepped out of factory workshops and become closely connected to our daily lives.
How It Works
At its core, a relay is an electromagnetic automatic switch that uses "small currents to control large ones." A weak signal current at the control end generates an electromagnetic force in the internal coil, which drives the contacts to open or close. This indirectly controls the high-voltage, high-current circuit at the load end, achieving safe isolation between weak and strong electrical signals.
GLVAC's high-voltage vacuum relays feature contacts sealed within a high-vacuum ceramic cavity, using the vacuum as the insulation and arc-extinguishing medium. This structural design completely solves the pain points of ordinary relays, such as arc erosion and contact oxidation, resulting in comprehensively upgraded performance.

Green Mobility
Whenever you drive a new energy vehicle (NEV) or charge an EV at a charging station, DC contactors are quietly at work.
In NEVs, high-voltage DC contactors take on core functions such as switching the main battery circuit, controlling charging, and providing safety protection. When the vehicle starts, it smoothly connects the power current; in the event of a fault, it can cut off the high-voltage circuit in milliseconds to prevent electric shock and fire risks. GLVAC's Y-series high-voltage DC contactors are widely used in 800-1000V voltage platforms for NEVs. With their lightweight design and high reliability, they have become a core supplier for numerous automakers.
From family sedans to public buses, and from highway charging stations to urban rail transit, relays safeguard every green journey with precise switching.

Internet of Everything
Every video call and every message sent relies on the support of communication base stations and satellite systems, and relays are the key components in these systems.
In shortwave communications, communication satellites, and radar systems, vacuum relays are responsible for high-frequency antenna coupling switching and transmit/receive conversion. GLVAC's ceramic high-voltage vacuum relays can operate stably under harsh conditions of high voltage and high current. With their long service life and high reliability, they are widely used in high-end fields such as communication base stations and RF equipment.
From urban 5G base stations to distant communication satellites, relays make signal transmission more stable and the Internet of Everything possible.

Marine Engineering
In marine engineering projects such as cross-sea power transmission and seabed observation networks, the extreme environment of deep-sea high pressure, high humidity, and high salt spray poses severe tests for components.
High insulation and long service life are the technological foundations for its deep-sea expeditions. Relying on a fully sealed vacuum cavity structure, GLVAC's vacuum relays cope with the deep-sea environment with exceptional insulation performance and ultra-long mechanical life, accurately executing circuit switching in the dark, high-pressure ocean floor, and ensuring the stable and uninterrupted operation of submarine cable systems.
